I have been desperately trying to find why I have no power in my overhead console dummy lights. I have the dome light working but nothing else. The wires are comnnected back to the left rear kick panel. I am struggling with what drives the low fuel, door ajar and seat belt warning lights. What electrical signal is sent when the seatbelts aren't connected? I saw no wires from the retractors???? Doers the fuel gauge have 2 leads - one to drive the gauge and the other for the overhead console? Totally baffled. Can anyone link me with someone who is an expert on SE overhead console wiring? Dave?

I have found the answer! The time relay switch was bad. All connections were ok but the time relay that turns the seat belt, door ajar, map light, and key light delays was bad. Not an easy part to find either.

If this is the small cylindrical object, about 2" long by 3/4" diameter, with three connection points (one at 90 degrees to the other two), then I need one, too, and have been after one for ages!

Phil- I have a army of the things- In Canada due to the salt in the winter-cars are always being junked here- so I always visit the bone yards and pull what I want before they crush them-one day they will be all gone.

wonder if I can stuff one into a envelope???

one lump or two???

give me your address and I'll see if I can ship them to you- you pay for the shipping and it's yours- maybe due to you being over the pond- someone else on the board need one????
