Sourcing firewall bulkhead connectors

I'm active today. My third new thread within 15 minutes.
Old wiring harness is toasted on that 70 project I have. I know there's new harnesses available but they're bit pricey and I would still need to install dozen or two of new wires due my EFI plans especially since I don't like idea of placing computer stuff under hood and would rather put them under dash for some protection.
I managed to find Painless 40130 which is 22 pins. Not quite enough to do everything, but two should do it. Painless wants $100 for each which is insane, but you can get exactly same Delphi connector from Keefer for $29 + shipping.

I can do this electrical stuff myself but there's no point on that unless doing it with proper connectors and wiring right from start. I'm not worried about potential resale value as car is already modified and not matching anything.
Anyone else taken such route and if so what type of connectors you used?
