Hello mopar monkeys, I'm sure someone asked this only a little while ago but , has anybody had to use one of the Painless mopar specific 14 relay kits?
Was it easy to install? Could it be easily modified for UK light regs?
They look perfect for a modern wiring upgrade, only thing I can see against it is that its $600 plus shipping. Any feedback always appreciated. Cheers, Adrian.

You mean 14 circuit? Yes I just finished fitting one. Not as easy as you might think but not as hard as starting from scratch. You will still need to buy extra wire and connectors not included in the kit. Plus you will have to re-use some existing connectors.

I have a lot of wires on my harness that are split or weakened right where they go into a plastic connector block. Is there an easy way to get the connectors out without damaging the block, so I can run new connectors and wire? If I can do this easy enough, I'll rewire the old as opposed to buying a Painless kit.

The connectors have a barb or two on them to stop them pulling out the back. You need to find a sharp tool to get in there to press the barbs down.

Ta for the info. I had hoped for that much dollar the kit would be a bit more comprehensive. I suppose the newer technology still outweighs just replacing bits of harness with repro items, but I'm a couple of connectorblocks, like the big flat one from the column, are a bit suspect.
I checked out the installation manual on the Painless website and it looked pretty straightforward, if a little longwinded.
Did you guys buy direct? Any problems with shipping, etc.?

Got mine with a bunch of other stuff from Summit.
The kit is very good. Don't get me wrong. All the wires are thinner and lighter than the originals yet with greater current carrying capacity, lower resistance, and temperature/fire resistance.
