In sorting out my wiring now that it is a big octopus on my bench, I found all of the pieces for the lighting package, but I don't have the electrical doohicky that plugs into the harness that dims the lights over time. And here I was trying for hours to figure out why my ignition key light wouldnt come on..... :s001:

What specifically is this called? And where can I get it? I can't seem to find it browsing through Yearone and Paddock Parts electrical sections, and I can't very well do an ebay search for a "time delay doohicky."

if your near a auto scrap yard where 80's mopars are- most all had one by the fuse box.

Thank you! I did not know they were the same up into the 80's. Wow, problem solved!

yes, mine does not have the paper around it but the pins are the same. I opened mine up as it was not working. Cleaned the contacts and you can adjust the time delay to some extent too.

How exactly does the time delay work? An element that moves and touches a contact when juice is applied to it?

its a simple bi-metallic strip - when heat is applied by having the resistance coil around it the contact moves to break the contact. Depending on how long it takes for the contact to cool is how long it will remain in contact for
