73 Factory Driving lights?

Hello all- my 73 Challenger (340 4 speed Rallye) has what appears to be driving light mounts under the bumper. These are definitely factory fitted mounts (see pics). But i have never seen driving lights on any Challenger - only the ones on the 70 Cuda with this option. Unfortunately my car did not have the option codes plate in the eng bay. Although i do know it had the Lighting Package option fitted. Has anyone got any pictures of a 72-74 Challenger with the optional driving lights fitted? Also, where was the dash switch for these if fitted?

THanks!

Not sure what those mounts are...you sure they're factory? The '70 and '71 Cuda road lamps had a completely different bracket.

Here they are mounted in a photo in this thread http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index ... ic=42051.0

Here's a thread where they're talking about adding fog lights on a '72 Challenger http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index ... ic=26419.0

Not factory fitted. But many people did fit them in the 70s.

Yes my friends, you are all correct. My mechanic came over today and i showed him them, and after close inspection, much to my dismay pointed out the "Made in Japan" stamped into them! Well, as Dave said, they probably were fitted in the 70's (when the Japs made stuff, not Chinese). Anyway, i might still look around for some small round driving lamps - won't hurt to fit them up. Thanks for the threads too. Now onto another topic area for another question.
