I just decoded my fender tag and it indicates that my car came with an AM 8 Track radio. these stupid things appear to be like gold. Anyone know of any for a reasonable price ? :disbelief: Thanks

Are you going completely original Charlie? :)

I have heard the units are difficult to find. My guess is audio quality was moving forward back then and the original ones weren't that good if you like listening to music. The owners probably pitched them for the latest technology.

Maybe watch eBay until one shows up. :|

I am trying to keep the car as original as possible without going everboard. I found one on ebay but the guy wants $1300 for it. I am not that crazy. I have a nice original AM/FM stereo thumbwheel so I will stick with that until something original comes along. BTW saw your old picture of the car. Cute girl too!

Charleik, Original 1970 e body am/fm thumbwheel stereos bring very good money also. If that is what you already have you could probably find someone to trade with.

Just a thought
Bob
