Radio and speaker replacements

Postby jh27n0b » 21 Sep 2008 12:46

My original AM/FM radio and 3 dash speakers are tired. I found this company in Minnesota that sells upgraded speakers. I am contemplating sending them my radio for rebuild. Anyone have experience in this area or has anyone dealt with Electro-Tech?

If I recall, the dash speakers are actually a 3.5 inch and 6x9 in the rear deck.
I would leave the center speaker disconnected (if you have the rears) and only upgrade the 2 fronts and 2 rears. Much better sound!
I actually work in a high-end audio shop and we do a lot of high end car audio.

Here's my suggestion:

JL Audio TR350cx (3.5 inch coaxial)
JL Audio TR690cx or JL Audio C2690x (6x9 inch triaxial)

Hope that helps! Feel free to contact me if you plan on upgrading the radio or adding amplification, etc.
