What kind of performance increase should i expect when i go to an MSD ignition??? Would i experience a serious performance increase if i get a new ignition and a new coil and distributor????? SHould i leave it at points or go elctrical?????

I can see I am going to have to post some of my electrical posts on the MMA board over here as well.

The performance increase will depend on how good and how well set up your old system was. Always choose eletronic ignition if you can. Points suck!

Speaking of which, I am about ready to install my new dash. I have it, and it is out of a '72. Nice too So, some time ago, Dave, you had a schematic of the '72 Rally dash to a '70 standard, I thought. I would like to access that again.

I have a 1972 engine bay wiring diagram.

I have a 1970 workshop manual with everything in it including the diagrams for the 1970 rallye dash. I am sure I have scanned these before but can only find the engine bay scans. If you need any scans from my 1970 book let me know but I am away all day tomorrow and will not have time to scan anything until next week.

Dave, I like to see the 1972 engine bay wiring diagram. I have a 72 Ralley that I wanna restore next winter so I'm already collecting all the things that makes it easier to do...So can you post it or if it's to big email it or something ??

I have posted links in the technical section with all the electrical diagrams in the 1970 manual. I will post any others, including the 1972 stuff, on monday or tuesday. You guys are going to wreck my books or the scanner with all this! Pages are already falling out of the 1970 manual due to being squashed in the scanner.
