Unknown wires

I have 2 wires in my engine compartment that I have no idea what they go to. They are wrapped up pretty good in the harness and I didnt want to tear it apart to find out what they went to. (Figured the wires were for the wiper motor when I wrapped the harness.)

They have 2 female blade-style ends, and one has power at all times when ignition is on. They were wrapped together in the original harness. One wire has power all the time, and I cant seem to get any power out of the other one by pressing buttons/flipping switches in the car.

I know they are not for electric choke/washer fluid squirter, heater motor. Either air conditioning or wiper motor. Anyone know which these connect to? (I have a 3 speed wiper motor and used to have A/C) I'll tear down the harness if no one knows, figured I'd try before I took off half a mile of electrical tape.

Possibly the reverse switch wires that run down to the transmission. Not stock as they are in a boot but it kindof figures. Can you trace the wire color back to the harness bulkhead That would be to easy thought?

A pic and a color would help.

Colors are kinda a no-go because previous owner painted the firewall without covering wires. Ill try to scrape the paint off to get colors. No pics till I get batteries. Good idea about reverse wires, but my lights turn on fine for reverse, so not those. Thanks, guys, Ill get pics up to help more.

Hook a voltmeter or test light 12 volts and the other wire to a known ground. Have someone flick all the switches on the dash.

Eddie, straight twelve volts to one wire, nothing at all out of the other one when the ignition is on, regardless of what switches are flipped inside the car. I believe these are for air conditioning, which I removed, and the connector/wires for the wiper motor is simply missing, as I only have 3 out of 4 bulkhead connectors.

I think the wiper circuit has it's own section on the bulkhead. You may be missing the tail end from past wiring jobs.

There are many components available to the 12 volt system when the ignition is on. A/C maybe one of them? Mine has none so can't help there. :(

The top left bulkhead connector is missing (looking at the engine compartment from the front of the car) The wires can be traced back to the bottom left bulkhead connector and are brown and dark blue. From what I can decipher of the wiring diagrams on this site, I am missing the wiper bulkhead connector entirely and these wires are for air conditioning. Thanks for the tip Tom, cleaned em right up.
