start fit #2

I picked up a Denso 281-0109 mini-starter at the Mopar nats this weekend. The good news is I can fit the starter in past the headers. The bad news is, the wiring connections are rubbing the block, keeping the second starter bolt from lining up (stud is fine). I took the cover off, and it seems that this piece could be removed and then just attaching the wiring from the car directly to this piece, in essence, removing and bypassing the part that was rubbing. Please see the pictures below.

Don't want to burn up my car after all this work!! Seems it should fit my 440, no?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Yes, you can discard that adapter for mini vans! I use the same starter in mine. Dont worry, it's just an extension.

I not only had to do that but I had to also shorten the stud a little on mine.
