Just in case you guys didn't see the article in Mopar Action about LED tail light conversion here is a company making nice conversions.

Right now they only have 70 and 71, but I emailed them, and in 3 to 4 weeks I was told they would have the 72-74 style conversion.

Has anyone tried these LED conversion lights with any success?
Is there more or less heat to affect the lens?

By their nature LEDs produce very little heat.
They emmit light only but normal lamps only emmit light due to the fact they are very hot.

It is the UV-radiation that is killing the tail lights and not the heat, if I have understood things correctly. The repro lights are said to have a greater resistibility against UV-radiation compared to the originals.
