Dash Removed....

This was part of a private message to Dave-R on Feb. 4th that I thought was worth posting in case someone else has the same experience.

Feb. 4th 2006

I pulled my Rallye cluster out today to send it off to get the tach and clock converted,lens polished, new knobs etc.---

My car wouldn't start after I pulled my dash. Everything was disconnected.
Other than possibly a dead battery (I did have to jump my car just prior to removing the dash)--Is there a reason the car wouldn't start when the dash guages are not connected

I don't have a battery tester--I have to ask my neighbor for his tommow.
I'll also post this question on the board so it gets logged in.

It will be the amp (charge/discharge) guage. All current goes through that. Just join the two wires together. Be careful because if that amp guage wire shorts out on something the whole car could go up in smoke. So disconnect the battery before messing with it.

I was very satisfied. My dash looks Show Quality. All my stock gauges still working great.
