removing mechanical portion of ignition

Anyone removed the ignition switch from the middle can lately? Any help is appreciated... :?:

I can't see the pin you need to push in BRADGROTT's photo?

But there will be a pin or a hole to push a wire in or something like that.

I'm contimplating this here in the near future can this be accomplished without the factory service tools not caveman methods and does anyone know where I may be able to pick up these tools

A bright man can always work around the factory tool problem.

No special tools needed. Was very easy to acomplish with screwdrivers and a steering wheel puller. In fact looking for a few old ones to refurbish and sell on ebay to help finace my project.

I count anything that is not a regular hand tool item as a special tool. Anything simple like that I generally make myself. In this case a metal plate with a couple of holes in it and two bolts. It doubles up as a crank pulley removal tool too. :D
