Does a DIN radio/CD fit into the hole in the dash,I have an AM only music master, but will NOT cut the dash, If its a different size I'll have to fit one "stealthily"

I have a rear defrost, but no switch on the dash, were they fitted beside the dimmer? dunno if it works yet,but I need it just now!

Fuel gauge and clock don't work, temp gauge works (most of the time) From what I've read, its probably either the sender unit,or the voltage regulator. I'll check these out tomorrow.

The standard dash panel looks like this. Not sure about the coloured text though. The text is white on my ยด70.

defroster switch goes beside the dash dimmer.

it has three spade connector on the back. any 1970-1974 cuda or chally one will work.

do you need one????

I have a spare one!!!!

I have the rear defrost blower, pipes and vents -which actually works,-tried it today with a battery-but there is no space on my dash for the switch??? also is it supposed to heat the air too? mine was cold.

Have you checked the fender tag info, Kowalski? Is there any H31 (rear window defogger) code on it?

Is it possible to both have 6"x9" speakers AND a rear defogger without any clearence problems?
Maybe you can answer this question, Kowalski?
(I have never seen the rear defog setup in real life, only on a photo)

erm, no. The defogger vents fit where the speaker holes are. I'm going to make up a MDF board and mount the speakers on to those, and cut new holes for the vents.Somone has already hacked up the metal shelf to fit old '70's speakers and made a mess of the original hardboard :? I'm not sure if my setup is original either,as I've seen the defogger motor mounted under the shelf, wheras mine is on the floor.... dunno!

Don't have a fender tag, have looked under the bonnet as shown on this website, also no stickers inside the doors or anything...

Underbonnet is pretty ratty for now

Answered some of my own questions today...Yes, a modern DIN D radio/CD fits EXACTLY in the original hole in the dash, perfect! Left the original AM wiring in place, and put all my own wiring in,also repaired the fuel gauge-the tank wasn't getting a good earth, gauge was fine, also sorted out the heater panel illumination,so all that does'nt work now is the the clock and the dome lamp Have live,no earths.....stupidly pulled all the wiring out the roof, have to wait until I get the new headliner before I fix that one!

that is the correct defroster switch.

and no- all it does is move the air onto the window- no heat from the unit.
