Changing to new headers! It went easy. But upon reassembly and fire up time. No noise from starter!
A pretty new one at that less than 1000 miles!
Seem to remember someone trying to find out about Mitsubishi mini starters fitting.. Any luck on that front?

You don't need a new starter Jeff. They are easy to fix unless something broke off or burned out.

I suppose the first question is did you wire it up right and are you getting 12 volts at the right places at the right time?

Nah! They are easier to fit! Right it is 9.30 am. I am just taking motor down to local electrical engineers, they say they can do it for friday! Billing may still be on yet, that is if I can get the ol exhuast sorted as well. Shoulda done this months ago. Too busy taking notice on how difficult it is to replace headers. Drivers side off and replaced in less than an hour! Do youselves a favour, get a 'B', there is so much more room!

Now I have a manual steering box it looks a lot easier on the Challenger as well.

You should have pulled it apart yourself first mate. It is only a coil of wire. 90% chance it is either a contact that has come off or it is mechanicaly stuck. Easy stuff to fix.
