Must have a bad connection on the +ve side. Try at the back of the switch and work up or down stream from there. Restored cars have more bad connections than anything. Circuit and wiring diagrams are on this message board someplace.

Just thought. I have a good diagram of the steering column connector someplace. I will dig it out tonight. May just be a bad turn switch. They are not very well made.

thank you, i can belive about the steering column connector,i once had a 71 plymouth station wagon that had all kinds of problems there, but like i said i do need help, i do have a copy of wiring diagram for this auto any and all sugestions will help me, if it is a bad turn switch any sugestions as where to get it,hopefuly a new one once again thank you john

Here is a drawing of the rear light circuit that made it easier for me to work with in my head. It might help you too. Hope you can read it ok as the original is very faint.
You can get replacement turn switches from Year One etc.
