Cheap flywheel?

Postby Adrian Worman » 22 Mar 2011 11:37

Seen this steel flywheel on the 440Source website, seems ever so cheap, in fact approx a 1/3rd of the cost of any other I've seen. Anybody used them? I know this company are good, always liked their products, just wondered before I send my dollars across the pond

Personally, I would pass on it. I looked at it too. I used some of their stuff, but had to sell off some of it too because it simply didnt fit or was poorly engineered. The USA made steel is better, has a better hardening/tempering process. This is a huge difference right off the bat.

I take your advice Ed, ta for such a quick reply. Gonna see one of our used parts vendors this weekend, shall pry an original 130 tooth 10.5" item from his hands then and get it machined :)
