Gear Vendors overdrive problem

I am installing now GV overdrive unit and come across following problems :
1. I have the unit with autoshift electronics and it seems i do not need speed sensor (that was not included) my speedo cable is to short and i can not connect it with GV unit.
2. I need to change speedo gear to grey 44 teeth type. The speedo gear shaft does not slide into GV adapter is about 0,5 mm to thick, is it normal and i should just use some sand papaer on it ?
3. Even if i fit it, I am afraid speedo gear is much bigger than original 36 teeth unit. In 727 you can adjust the distance between geers by rotating the sppedo adapter in GV unit it seems it is impossible, as speedo adapter is a perfect circle with shaft in the middle and also fits only in one position.
Does anybody has a solution ?
