March 6th 1969. The C2 after the date is a plant and shift code. The plant code is a letter so 'C' will be right and the shift code will be something like 1 = day shift and 2 = night shft I would imagine.
As for the other numbers...I don't think they will be of any use to you.
Originally there would have been a paper tag with the axle part number on it. The last three digits of that are the axle code number. These three numbers are often rubber stamped onto the axle tube (near the right side U-bolts?). These are the ones you want because these tell you what the axle spec was. A bit of cleaning around that area might show them up.
