Hello guys.

I've just installed a new transmission coooler by B&M with fan and switch included that works at 175ºF.
The transmission gauge temp shows up to 210ºF once arrived at home due to the low speed and climbing way to home.
I checked with a laser temp when I saw that the fan didn't work and my surprise was when the cooler was around 100ºF (inlet and outlet) the transmission pan at 180ºF and transmission sending 200ºF.

The oil lines from trans to fan in front of the car (near the water radiator) have 8mm diameter.

Is this enough? Maybe I need thicker tubes from trans to cooler, but I 'm not sure about it and I don't know about the company to purchase it.

If your sending unit is in the pan it should read the same temp as the pan.

I use -6AN steel braided hydraulic hose to connect to my cooler. No fan on the cooler. But the cooler must be mounted in front of the radiator and have at least a 7mm gap between it and the radiator core.

Make sure the lines are insulated from the heat of the exhaust pipes and also that the "hot send" is insulated from the "cool return" otherwise the cool oil is warmed again before it enters the trans.

But the temp of the cooler will always be less than the temp of the trans I would have thought?

The trans case has 1/8 NPT threads cut into it so I used a couple of -6AN to 1/8 NPT adaptors.

I just took my trans out to fix a leak. I will take some photos when it goes back in.

This is one of the adaptors to -6AN hose fitting.
