What Threadlocker should be used?

What type and strength of threadlocker should be on engine parts like the torque converter and flexplate bolts? Should it be a permanent type like #271 or a removable like #242 or something else. I know threadlocker needs to be used but I'm not sure which one. I certainly don't want the bolts to work loose but I also don't want to snap them off trying to get them out. What is a good all around locker strength to used anywhere else on the car. Thanks

I believe blue is good for all around use the red needs to be heated to get off. Someone else might know more but if you read the instructions you should be ok. Blue would be better than nothing- I've seen the aftermath of flywheel bolts through the bellhousing of a buddy's 442 455 4spd! He always told me I didn't need to use that cr*p!

I would use the removable type on everything that I felt needed it other than the corse end of studs which you don't want breaking loose when you turn the nut on them.
