left hand lug nuts

Has anyone changed there left hand lug nuts to right hand? Anyone know why Dodge did the left hand thing?

Yes and yes. 
The studs just knock out to the rear. Fit new RHT versions.
The LHT stuff came in 1970 but didn't last long as most of them got sheared off by confused mechanics.
They were a safety idea. Something to do with the direction of rotation of the wheel making them less likely to come loose.
