I was wondering what the kickdown does? Im new to alot of this stuff that is on my car

It makes the auto box change down a gear for overtaking and for getting up hills. You cannot run without one unless you have a manual valve body modification.

Oh and it is called a kickdown because to change down a gear to overtake you lift your foot off the gas pedal and then kick it down.
