Challenger Clutch Removal

Postby Daniel » 14 Feb 2005 6:55

I have a 71 Challenger 340 4-speed and it is time for a new clutch and transmission rebuild. Is it necessary to remove the bell housing to swap out the clutch assembly and flywheel or can it be done with the bell housing still attached to the engine? Just asking cause my headers are in the way and the less work the better.

Thanks!
Daniel

Bellhousing has to come off as far as I know.
