Hello all,
First a quick intro, I have a 440/727 equiped Jensen Interceptor and have followed your site for some time and found it very useful and informative. Many of the the posts are relavent to my vehicle and although not a Challenger it has many of the same attributes. I will understand if you delete my post but on occasion I do have some questions that have not been covered in your archives so here goes.......
I have a question about the types of deep oil pans available for the tf727. They seem to be all aluminium types with an extra 2 to 4 quarts or the mopar steel pan with an extra 2 quarts, plus drain plugs in all. My question is which is the best type to fit (if necessary at all) and do they significantly lower the ground clearence of the vehicle?
Will the extra volume be useful for cooling when used in conjunction with a seperate 13 row mocal transmission oil cooler or is it not really necessary if seperate cooling is installed?
