I have started and let my car idle till it warms up at least six times now. It only starts in Newtrol. The last thing I did was let it warm up and refilled the trany fluid it was real low. Now it doesn't start. P.S. I charged the battery and checked all the wires.

Automatic?

Has it got the standard shift lever or has it an aftermarket shifter with a cable?

It could be just out of adjustment so that it is not hitting the dedents for park and neutral right. Or it could be a bad neutral safety switch on the trans. Did you check the connector there and have you checked the switch works?

Is there a bulkhead connector for the wires going to the switch? (check the wiring diagrams) Bad connection there?

I will try those things. Yes Automatic. Stock slapstick shifter. I was just weirded out cuz it stoped starting the second I put trany fluid in (and did nothing else).

I had the same problem Shawn. Dave mentioned this earlier in the thead,
"bulkhead connector" on the firewall. Bad connection there.
My connection had enough corossion on the electrical connections that it was not making good contact all the time.
