Dave, what convertor are you running in your car? I have a challenger, 440, 727, 391's, with a 296/557 solid cam. i was thinking I need about a 3000 to 3500 stall speed. Can anyone helpme on this?

Your cam manufacturer will suggest what convertor you need for your cam/car weight/rear gear but 3000-3500 sounds about right for the sort of cam you have. I use a TCI unit because at the time they were the best priced. That may not be the case now.
