Painted Fuel Cap vs Rally Cap

Postby usmc1998 » 22 Oct 2012 15:48

Would anyone know if a painted fuel cap (instead of the flip Rally cap) would be a factory option for a '70 RT SE?

Thanks for any info!

I answered your other post. The standard cap was painted. The flip top cap was an option on base and R/T Challengers.

Hey Burdar, do you know if the chrome cap was an option in 70 or later?

Nothing I've seen suggests the chrome cap was a factory part. It was an over the counter replacement part.

Yep. It made sense to make over the counter replacements chrome so that the owner wouldn't have to get them painted.
The Dave giveth and the Dave taketh away.
