383 Comp

Maybe a stupid question but what exactly did they do to lower the comp from 70 - 71 383 Magnum ?

My guess is just lower comp pistons, the heads all seem roughly the same cc for each type of open chamber, which I assume was normal use by that time.

The partbook for 1970-71 confirms that the 1971 4 Bbl 383 engine have the 1970 2 Bbl pistons !
