FIRED RIGHT UP!

Postby cv70chall » 09 Dec 2011 16:32

She fired right up! Timing sounds great- no misses- no smoke- and no leaks! We ran her for about 20-25 minutes to get everything settled in and next comes the AC assembly. Should have the fenders back on sometime next week and then (hopefully) it's all downhill from here. Heater box has also been reinstalled.
I promise to have a video of the fire-up posted.
Thanks to all of you for your help, info and guidance with this. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions as it gets closer!

It's a lovely feeling ain't it Chuck, that's one of those life changing moments that you just don't forget, I once told a girlfriend of mine that it was akin to givin birth
She punched me in the face but I know I was right, I remember as clear as day the first time my Challys 440 erupted into life and made enough noise to signal the end of the world

Hey Chuck its sometime since I have logged on. I have read through most of the recent posts.....you have made amazing progress! Really nice work.
I seem to have bouts of motivation were I get masses done then I go cold for a month or so. I think the better method is to stay constant, moving ahead a bit every day. You seem to have that sorted!

Thanks everyone! Yeah, it's been a long road...One day a week here and there for about 6 hours a day..But I've learned a ton and really gained an appreciation for what goes into this. The moment it started and ran was indeed a special one.
I figure about another month and it'll be pulling out of the garage.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
