Exhaust mounting question

Postby Adrian Worman » 21 Oct 2010 18:08

Hi mates, can any body kindly show me a pic or diagram that shows the supporting brackets that attach the exhaust boxes to the rear section of the floorpan. I've always supported the pipe at other points and its never really been right, so I'd like to see how its done proper  :?:

The bracket looks like this :

There's a backing plate inside the car, with the studs, which goes through the floor behind the rear seat back. The bracket is attached to this plate.

TTI makes a simpler copy (no backing plate):

it's the yellow part in this diagram (outer plate shown only) :

Accurate also sells a simpler copy with no backing plate, in stainless :

Correctness put aside, I'd rather have a backing plate with welded studs (even if that means making it myself) than self-tapping screws in the floorpan...
