I've got my 318 dismantled and I'm going to have it dipped/ checked before we go further.
I would like to decode the numbers on the block and the heads I have.

On the block:

1 side: 2.14.77
other side: 4006730-318-10

On the heads:

1221 and 2658920-5

I would appreciate any light anybody might be able to shed on this.

Actually, I found out (disappointed) that the block was built in 77- hence not the original. I would like some info on the heads, though!

Chuck, according to my Galen's little white Chrysler casting books,, those heads are from a 1967 318 C.I.D. with closed chambers and 1.78 Intakes and 1.50 exhausts. Also, I sent you some contact info for the E-Body parts,,hope this helps
