Are the water pump and crank pulleys the same on aa 340 TA as all challenger small blocks? My alternator belt keeps jumping off!

Some 340s & 318s use the same pullies.

Got a photo of what you have?

The water pump pulley is marked with 2951836 if you have the right one.

I have attached a picture from before I tore it down, the car is in the shop now, so I can get a better pic tomorrow. Funny, it was fine before, but the shop that is tuning my carbs had the belt come off at idle. It looks like the alternator adjuster bolt hole is stripped, sio the first time it came off the alternator may have been loose. They replaced the alternator and the problem got worse. I think the problem may be the pulley on the new alternator, as it is different in style, and the belt does not set as deep in the pulley as the original.

Problem solved, the aftermarket alternator had a different pulley that was not deep enough.
