Does anyone know the size of the nut on the oil sending unit for the 440 with the oil light?

when you find out i'd like to know! If it is the same as the 318 then its almost impossible to get something to fit i found! I measured the nut with verniers and came up with somethng like 1 and 1/32" but that didn't fit, neither did a metric socket of 26 or 27 mm. Either too small or too big. In the end i just used some funny shaped mulitgrips, lucky it was not too tight. Hope yours is not too tight.

That was too big for mine. either the socket was not accurate or the sender unit was slightly worn. pain in the butttt
