But both come in various sizes including 3". Even bigger if you want.
The thing t realise though is that any system that is 3" and bigger is going to sound LOUD.
If you want an in-car conversation without having to raise your voice use a system that is 2.5".
OR if you want max performance and you have a big block with headers run a 3" system from the collectors back to the mufflers and then 2.5 from the mufflers over the axle and out.

dave-r wrote:No they are not "straight through". Dynomax are similar to Flowmasters but have a deeper more mellow tone than Flowmasters which sound a little harsh to me.

Goldenblack440 wrote:Eddie, just a question about headers. As you know, the good brands have the extra thick flanges, my TTi's do - and they stretch all along the head, ie its one flange.

Use an X-Pipe whatever you do Pat! (10-15 "Free Horsepower") it keeps it 'quiet' until a WOT or high gasses exist, then it sounds a bit throaty but a bit different. MoPar used an H pipe on Hemi cars.patrick wrote:dave-r wrote:No they are not "straight through". Sorry. Haven't checked this thread, for awhile. The flowmasters are quiet but, when I open it up.... They say I echo through the Gorge. I kind of like that, though.
That's stock manifold's with custom pipe's w/crossover. Might have to change, if I ever get those TTI, header's.
Might like that too... ! ! !
