I am having trouble getting the Shaker bubble to fit the base plate properly. It seems like it does not want to down all the way onto the base plate, thus the seven bolts will not catch the threads of the base plate. I can get one or two to catch but thats it. I dont want to force them, as the fiberglass of the bubble is so flimsy. Anyone run across this before?

it should set rather easily.what i do is match up the 2 drain holes at the front of the shaker to the bottom of the base plate drain holes and mine just falls into place. my shaker is original mopar parts. is yours original or after market?

Yes, mine is an aftermarkt setup. I was trying to do what you said, line up the two front drain holes, but it does not fall in place, it stays up just enough that you can not bolt the bubble to the base plate, I think it is hitting either the Shaker doors or the air filter lid, so something is not right. Being that alot of the Shaker parts were missing when I got the car,I had to buy the Shaker air doors, hoses, cables, etc, so I am learning as I go on how to get everything assembled and working the way it should. With everyones help, I'm sure I'll get it together.

Dana, can you post a pic of the baseplate and adaptor ring? As Danny said it should slip on pretty easily, the rubber gasket sometimes has to be 'pushed up' to get the bubble down on top of the adaptor ring but it's not difficult at all. If your's has to be 'pressed on' and the fasteners dont reach up enough then something is wrong.
