Coated headers that fit good for a good price

Postby gregvega » 27 Nov 2007 16:19

What are some brands of ceramic coated headers that fit great and are a good price? Some brands say they wont work with a 4 speed or power steering and others dont say anything. Mine is a 440 with auto and power steering, I'd make sure to ask before I buy. I want one that doesnt need any banging on anything to fit and has good clearance. Flowtec I think is by Holley, there price is great but I dont know about how they fit or how good they are. Any ideas?

Just a note on size.

Last time I looked the Dougs headers in my link above were only available in 2-inch primaries. Ideal for a 440 with a bigger than stock exhaust valve.

I personally would be looking for a 1 7/8ths primary if I had stock size valves.

Just thought I would mention that.

Yeah, I wish I had known about the Doug's before I got my TTI's. Just as good, maybe better, less cost.
