Jimi, here is more info on the use of E-85. I wouldnt use it in my Challenger until I personally had experience with it, and talked to other people who have used it in vintage cars like our Challengers. You can also blend it with gasoline at a richer rate of gas like 1/2 e-85 and 1/2 gas. This would reduce the corrosive nature of alcohol. remember alcohol carries it's own oxygen molecule with it, gas doesnt, this is why alcohol corrodes even when the component is submersed. You would think, I'll keep the tank full so no oxygen, no corrosion right? Wrong, alcohol doesnt 'work that way'. Read on.. http://www.megamanual.com/flexfuel.htm by the way Jimi, I am being super safe in my recommendation on your car, it's just too damned gorgeous to "experiment' with :lol:

I am gonna use a 65/lb/hr/ flow rate. Whats my projected HorsePower?

BTW, I'm gonna answer my own question here. 550-600 H.P. Max with that flow rate and a 10:1 Air/Fuel ratio, which would be just fine with me. Torque will be 550-600 same as the H.P. actually. Smooth idle, .580-590 lift cam, solid flat tappet, no more than 300 duration, more likely a 295 duration/.540 lift ,(I have 1.6 ratio rockers so multiply by 1.6 instead of 1.5), so .540 lift would be more like .590. This way anyone can utilize it in their vehicles and still make good power with a bobweight of a 340 factory motor, should rev very quick and make gobs of torque! :s004:

blue metallic is the colour i want to use on mine... I believe that would be cool to the black paint on the car...

silver is nice, or black... But in your chally i believe hemiorange like your engine IS, is a real nice colour combo or even the best actually!

Nice choices Jimi. I want to give a "factory appearance" to this plant when done. Think 400 4 barrel dual snorkel air cleaner, Chrysler blue,(turquoise) or street Hemi orange? Do you think a 'sleeper' plant would be cool?

I think because your engine in the chally already is street hemi orange, it may be a nice change for you to have blue?

(My 340 is painted red, and i hate it)

Roland has a special mixture of that street hemi orange that looks real nice on his engine, i believe it was from a volkswagen or something :biggrin:

OK, either the Hemi Orange or the Vintage Chrysler blue,(actually a 'turquoise' colour hue), I dont know the proper name for it. And I'll do what Dave suggests, no baby poop brown, Bill Hirsch's stuff really any good? I see his ads all the time. :?:

Hell yeah. Real nice stuff that can be brushed or thined and sprayed. Best match for the original colour I have ever seen.

My vote is blue also. Though if I had the money to buy it, it wouldn't really matter what color it was as it would end up mud brown in my RC :nod:
