I have a 73 340 Challenger. Edelbrock performer intake, carb and performer Cam. Mopar performance E.C.U. with Mopar blaster coil. Where my headache is coming from, is choosing a good set of spark plug wire's. There are so many different brand's out there.7MM to 9MM. $35.00 to about $85.00. What about Mopar Performance's original 340 Orange, 7MM Re:creation set? :? I just want something that perform's good with a good price, without interference to radio or electronic's. Hell, what about N.A.P.A Belden wire set's? Mallery,Moroso,Accel,Taylor,Pertronix. I'm going nut's! What really make's one better than the other? Thank's for any input. Pat :s022:

I will tell you. :D

Low electrical resistance per foot.
Metal core spiral wound for radio suppression.
Very thick pure silicone (8mm or more) insulation.
Spark boot plugs that are sealed or vulcanised to the wires

Any make that ticks all of those boxes will be good to use.

That's a great lead Dave! Now I really know what to look for. One guy say's this brand, another guy say's that brand. You gave a no-nonsense answer. Ahem... What brand do you use? Thank's Pat

At the moment I am using MSD 8.5mm.

I am not saying they are the best. I just don't know. But the whole ignition system is MSD so they match.

However they are very good. I have them on my Neon too. It was cheaper to import better quality MSD wires from the US than buy some stock wires from my local dealership over here.

I think they quoted me $120 for the stock wires? Shower of bastards that they are.

MSD here too Pat. Both on my Challenger R/T and my gas Dodge Truck 4x4. 8.5mm SuperConductors. Heck, I use a complete MSD system in my truck dizzy and all. When a self running programmable,(digital) dizzy becomes available for the RB engine, it's going into the challenger. MSD stuff has never let me down.
