I'm starting to think to get a new exhaust system myself. I have a "modified" 340 engine, X heads, 4 barrel, Hedman headers. Right now I have a 2,5" all the way I think, but I just found out there's a small rust hole in the left muffler. I fixed it temporarily and I will wait til after the summer here in Sweden to get a new system but I wanna start learning about the diffrences now. So, here's some questions.
I know that TTI are top of the line but I'm gonna have to count my money first...would you guys suggest me to stick with the 2,5 or change to 3"? Or is 3" mainly for big block cars?
I have also been wondering what other exhaust tips than the T/A and the "through the valance" style Challengers had from the factory. Or did all Challengers with dual exhaust come with the cutout rear valence? Since my car originally is a 318 I assume it only had a single exhaust and I can't remember ever seeing how the tip looked like on a single exhaust car. My valence looks like this now, any suggestions on exhaust tips? Or should I try to cut them out more to fit the "twin rectangle" tips?
