Camshaft thrust plate

Hey there, does anyone have a pic or info on how the oil drip plate is fitted on to the cam thrust plate????????? Silly me just can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be a godsend. Thanks alot. :cry:

Must be a small block you are talking about?

Not my cup of tea. The only image i have is this one from the manual.

Thanks Dave, but that's pretty straight forward. It does'nt show a drip pan that drips oil onto the timing chain. I appreciate your help though. Maybe a trip to the auto yard might help me. Bummer that it's probably so simple but it's stopping me from going any farther. :disbelief:

Thanks alot for triing to help Dave, but as it turns out I was able to do the usual and fab up a bolt with the oil hole in it. So away I started again and was halted when I found out that the seals that came with the gasket kit were for a 318cid and not a 360. Minor... I'll try to take some pics and post progress. Thks again.

Its been a while but I know one of the bolts that holds the thrust plate on should be drilled thru to allow oil from the lifter galley to the cam chain. Can't remember which one but it should be pretty obvious. :s006:

As for the oil slinger it simply fits to the crankshaft. No bolts involved.

Looking at the front of the engine top left bolt is usually drilled for lubrication.
