just purchased new holley 4160 for my 71 R/T w/383 and manuel trans.
also installed new cable stud on carb but my existing bracket does not seem to line up cable with carb,,,,any suggestions!

Is the cable stud in the right place?

I believe so,,,original carb had a differnent plate which cable attaches to,,,is there differnent brackets available? Year-one and paddock only give a description,,,no pics

yes stud is in right location,,carb was ordered specific for my car from local auto parts company,,,is there differnent brackets available for my car or does the carb possibly have the wrong plate which the stud attaches on

Mmmm.

My problem is I have never fitted a Holley to a 383 before. But you see them all the time.

I have had to make slight modifications when changing intakes before. But not carbs.

Hopefully someone who has actually done this will give us a clue over the next few days.

thanks for the help,,that reminds me that a friend does have a 71 road runner w/383,,,,maybe i can take a peek at his set-up
