a friend of mine is selling a 440 Six Pac set up on ebay someone asked this question


Hi,
I was just wondering...my cam is a 284 duration and .498 lift cam...would I still have enough
vacuum to run this six pack system correctly?

Yes.

Long duration cams only effect vacuum at idle. This does not effect the vacuum secondaries.

The center carb will need some tuning for idle quality because of the non-stock cam (probably small holes in the throttle blades) but this is the case with any carb.
