Can anyone tell me if the T/A / AAR had unique exhaust manifolds? If so what is the correct i.d. / cast numbers please?
thanks

You haven't had many replies to this one have you Mr Zogg?

According to Mr Paul Herd there was no special manifold for the T/A.

Manifold casting numbers for 1970 340 powered Challengers are:-

Drivers side = 2863553. Passenger side = 2863549.

1971-1972 they changed to 3418621 and 3418623.

1973 the drivers side only changed to 3751084.

Hmm not many Dave,
apart from the i.d. numbers is there a difference between 70 and 71/72? was there a more high performance manifold?
Basically I want to lose the headers and get cast manifolds to return to stock.
So many questions!

I don't know what the differences are but the 340 was always a high performance engine.

Sometimes it is just a difference in the angle of the downpipe. Sometimes it is just a change in casting techniques.

Did T/As have 1970 manifolds or did the 1971 manifolds come in late in the 1970 model year? I don't know!!

There must be someone who knows. Where's Barry? :D
