Hello, Does anybody have an opinion on mufflers :?:

I found an exhaust system on ebay by Magnaflow-all stainless steel-sold by "zapperformance exhaust" for $438.58 with free shipping :!:

I talked to a local muffler shop and they said you get more horse power from Flowmaster. Horsepower is a concern, but I also want good sound. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks....Ed

My set up:

440ci Magnum = tt1 1-7/8" Primaries to 2" collectors. Running through to a tti 2-1/2" exhaust system with X-Pipe and Dynomax super turbo mufflers. 2-1/2" exhuast tips top it off.

I am thinking of Dynomax too but flowmasters are OK. The former are more quiet than the latter.

With my 440 I am thinking maybe TTI headers 2" primaries into 3.5" collectors, reducers down to 3" with balance pipe, exhaust cut outs for the strip, 3" diameter down to a pair of mufflers, 2.5" over the axle to the tips.
