The Dodge Challenger Message Board

Hello, below are pictures of the motor in my car, the previous owner said that a 360ci motor was installed in the past to replace the origional 318ci motor, but from reading through this message board it is to my understanding that 360ci motors were blue not orange. I have not had a chance to look under the valve covers for any casting numbers yet, but in the mean time was wondering if anybody would be able to tell me what kind of motor it is from a couple of pics.

All you can tell from the photos is that it is a "small block" LA engine.

To tell what it is exactly get the casting numbers from the sides of the block and also look at the front of the block just under the front of the drivers side cylinder head. There is an engine id number stamped in there but it may be faint if there is a lot of paint over it.
