I would have bought something that flowed 850cfm or more for that engine. 750cfm is OK for a stock or warmed over engine. But yours sounds like it is hotter than that.

If your axle gears are 3.23:1 ratio they are not matched to the power band of your engine.

ok! maybe i`ll try to get an 850 instead!! but the car had run 12,2 with a holley750 so that cant be to bad can it?

what ratio would you recomend then??

thanks alot for helping me out dave!!

I would suspect that 4.10:1 gears would be the best for drag racing your car. 3.55:1 would probably be the tallest gear I would try to use. 3.91:1 is the gear between that a lot of people would call the the best all-round gear for an engine like yours.

But if you don't like driving with the engine rpms high (some people are funny about that) then stick with the gear you have.

If it was my car I would probably stick 4:10s in it. They fly like poo off a stick with low gears in the axle. :D

okey since i dont race so much i think i will keep the 3.23:1
but it would be awesome to try the 4.10 !!!!!
