Air filter

Can anyone tell me what's a good diameter and thickness air filter to use on a 440 with a RT hood. I have read good things about K&N air filters. If anyone has a part number of one they have used, it would be greatly appreciated.

How big you go depends on how much room you have and that depends on what intake manifold you are using. Some intakes are pretty tall.

K&N flow well but you have to look after them. Fit the biggest filter you can. Look for an air cleaner base and lid that are shaped (curved) to direct the airflow into the carb.

...and don´t forget that different air cleaners demand different hood heights. Aren´t the Moroso type of air cleaners of what they call a low profile type, for instance? Are there any other low profile air cleaners out there, that we can recommend?
