Does anyone know what headers are the best fit for a smallblock (besides tti, can't afford those). I have seen different examples that say they fit e-body with power steering but they look nothing like the tti's.

I realise that most will need some tweaking, but I want a close a fit as I can get. Are the Hooker headers a good fit?

I know people say many small block headers fit like crap, but the thing is - they do fit. Obviously TTI's are for those who want top quality at a price to match. I pulled hookers off mine - also put headmans on. Yes they fit. You have to take apart your suspension (pitman arm etc) as the lower pipe runs around suspension parts. This is a pain, but I've never had my headers leak. Kind of a pain tightening some of the bolts on drivers side - but you'll do it.

Note- I took the hookers off because the drivers header got smooshed when the car bottomed out once (previous owner). Maybe they're at fault for hanging lower than other brands?? Who knows - I'm sure he was glad they weren't TTI's. $$$$
