I need a filler neck and have two choices. Both claim to be for a 70 rt but which one is the correct top for a flip top gas lid?

Second one.

As chance would have it. Just as you took the first photograph a Challenger drove past in shot that has the correct one fitted.

THERES THE DELIMA. THE CORRECT FILLER NECK DOES NOT FIT FLUSH IN THE BODY RECESS . IN MY QUEST TO MAKE THIS DRIVABLE DID I ALSO MISPLACE THE CORRECT WAY THE FILLER NECK GETS INSTALLED? A PICTURE SENT TO ME LOOKS LIKE IT MATES TO THE BODY FROM INSIDE THE TRUNK AND NOT SLID INTO THE TRUNK FROM THE OUTSIDE OPENING. :?

Yes it fits on the INSIDE. It is difficult to get it into the tank if the tank is bolted up because the angle is so sharp. Get someone to help you. You need to drop the tank so you can hold it at a better angle while someone else pushes the filler neck into the tank from the trunk. Then bolt the tank back up and pull the filler neck up to the inside of the rear quarter.

You can do it on your own but it is so much easier with two people.
